Being a serial entrepreneur, best-selling author, speaker and award winning radio host, Jim Beach has interviewed numerous Shark Tank winners, judges, billionaires, best-selling authors and successful entrepreneurs on his radio talk show. Offering great insights that have inspired many aspiring and existing entrepreneurs, he is also extremely passionate about business building. He believes that entrepreneurship is not only about risk, creativity and passion, but anyone, including you and I can both become an entrepreneur.
In the recent radio interview on 12 June 2015, Jim Beach interviewed two successful entrepreneurs namely the serial disruptor Jay Samit and Bioscape Digital’s Stuart Bracken, whom both of them shared some “survival tactics” in the path of entrepreneurship.
One of the best technology innovators, Jay Samit, has a proud achievement of having his startups raised more than hundred millions of dollars, selling his companies to Fortune 500 firms, taking companies public and partnering with some of the world’s biggest brands such as Coca Cola, McDonald’s, Apple and Facebook. Having been a senior advisor for Linkedin, Samit was also appointed to the White House initiative for education and technology by President Bill Clinton and is also hosting Wall Street Journal Startup of the Year series.
In the interview, Jay Samit generously shared some experiences on entrepreneurship – one that can be applicable on both companies’ and personal level. One of the most important beliefs which he frequently emphasized was that disruption begins when one determines to change themselves and getting out of the comfort zone.
In addition, the radio show also interviewed another distinguished guest, Stuart Bracken, the CEO and co-founder of Bioscape Digital – a platform which provides patient focused content that allows hospital to improve patient engagement and gather feedback for continuous improvement on their services. Just last year, Bracken was honoured with a place by Atlanta Business Chronicle on the annual “40 under 40” list.
During the show, Bracken also shared his secret formula to overcoming some of his challenges which he faced previously having co-founded three separate companies in his entrepreneurial journey.
He was able to recognize the opportunity that healthcare providers were making the effort to enhance patient’s experience in hospitals and thus created Bioscape to serve this need.
