Emory University’s Goizueta Business School recognized Bioscape Digital CEO Stuart Bracken in website’s landing page and online article regarding Bracken’s 2014 “40 Under 40 Award” by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
The article, titled “Goizueta alumnus named to 40 under 40 list”, highlighted Bracken’s special 2014 accolade, as well as his strong education and impressive entrepreneurial track record of helping start six different successful businesses.
The article also emphasized on the success that Bioscape Digital has had in health systems and the positive impact it has had thus far in the lives of countless physicians, nurses, and patients. “Bioscape Digital enables healthcare workers to deliver better care in a time-efficient manner. Going to a hospital is not an enjoyable experience, so we’re helping hospitals better engage patients and the results are patients are more satisfied and they are getting better care”, Bracken said.
Bioscape began a little more than two years ago, co-founded by Stuart Bracken; Grace Ou, a Georgia Tech master-degreed animator and interactive designer with over 20 years of experience in broadcast content creation and interactive media; and Jeff Weese, also a Georgia Tech master-degreed 3D real-time and interactive designer with over 12 years of experience in broadcast content creation and interactive media.
“The company’s primary offering is a specially-designed tablet platform that resides in each hospital room. Bracken said the company spent its first year studying the problem and how patients were being impacted, while the second year has been devoted to proving benefits and commercialization”, the article stated.
In the article Bracken also expressed his interest in encouraging students to follow an entrepreneurial path, and mentioned several fundamental ideas in regards to the field. “I think the key is not pretending to know everything, but rather knowing the right person to ask,” Bracken said. “What I love most about being an entrepreneur is creating jobs.”
