Everyone may be fawning over fitness apps, but the clincher among health apps in the past year, for venture firms, were clearly those focused on women’s health. Crunchbase cited reproductive health as a percentage over total mobile health apps – the trend has been on the rise, with reproductive health accounting for $70 million of the $88 million raised in the Q2 2014. Among those poised for growth are Chinese apps (Meet You; DaYiMa) and U.S. companies like Ovuline and Glow.
